These Iron Will Hybrid Hunter Vanes were developed through extensive computational fluid dynamic modeling as well as empirical testing to provide the best arrow flight with broadheads.
Empirical testing included high speed video, lab radar, audio analysis, and wind tunneling.
Top Edge
Our testing showed that the higher top edge in the AAE Hunter profile significantly steered broadheads better than lower profile vanes. The further away the vane was from the arrow, the more significant the pressure became upon the edge, which led to more reliable rotation.
Additionally, we found the AAE Hybrid material to support excellent adhesion to arrows, especially in high-pressure areas like the front of the vane.
The result is an Iron Will exclusive Hybrid Hunter vane from AAE.
Within this model, parts of the vane receiving the highest pressure are in red, and the airflow with the highest velocity is shown in red.

These vanes work great!
Less drag and they steer my Broad heads perfectly. As a plus for hunting they seem to be fairly quiet. I love the white color but would suggest one more color for identification for a cock vane.
Keep up the good Work!!!
Thank you! We have heard this about color. Definitely will look into it.
I don't understand why IW uses such flimsy material for their vanes. Very soft and flimsy.
Thanks for taking the time to send us a review! In our study, we found that the more flexible material performed better than a stiffer material.
I love these vanes. Quiet and consistent with excellent flight characteristics.
Overall great vanes. Fly great and are quiet. The only issue is they are not very durable. But I would assume there is a reason for the softer material. I’ve been shooting them daily for 2 weeks now and will need to redo at least 4 of them soon. But I have no issue doing that because they’re well worth it.
The material is an AAE material, not something Iron Will has designed. He took the Hybrid material from AAE and the Hunter vane style to create a Hybrid Hunter vane for the vane that showed the best data for having the most stabalizing effects on a fixed head broadhead. He wll be doing more testing this fall with the senior engineering students at CU-Boulder with vane materials as a consideration. Stay tuned. Appreciate the feedback.
My only complaint is the lack of a Red.Orange option as I really like two colors, one specifically for my nock vane.
