Additional Features

Sharp Top Edge

An optional sharp top edge is designed for opening hide while maintaining the knife’s main blade for skinning and deboning. An ergonomic thumb wall and thumb-stop grooves (jimping) provide confident control in wet environments.

Grip Top Edge

For hunters that add use their index finger near the tip of the blade for added control, the Grip Top option replaces the top edge blade with robust index finger grips (jimping) for precise control in wet and bloody conditions.

G-10 Handle

Precision CNC machined from G10 and at only 0.7 ounces, this handle adds extra control and comfort without contributing significant weight. G10 provides a confident grip when wet or dry so you can finish the job safely and efficiently.

Skeleton Handle

For the backcountry ounce counter, simply throw the skeletonized knife with sheath in your kill kit and you’ll forget about it until you punch your tag. For added grip and backcountry readiness, wrap your handle with the included paracord.

Kydex Sheath

The lightweight and minimal Kydex sheath included with every knife keeps your blade secured, out-of-sight and out-of-mind when you don't need it. And with exceptional durability, it's ready for all the blood and frequent use you can throw at it.

Pack Attach Sheath

Designed to fit straps from 1.5" to 2.25" wide, the Pack Attach Sheath is perfect for mounting your Iron Will knife to MOLLE webbing, to your backpack's shoulder straps, or your pant's waist belt. This external knife attachment features multiple configuration options for left- or right-handed knife access, plus dual locks so it won't shake or come loose.

A2 Tool Steel

Blade Coatings

To protect from corrosion, Natural Steel blades are treated with a light mineral oil finish that preserves the blade's Natural Steel appearance.

Our Black Ceramic blades are treated with a black composite coating for added wear resistance, reduced friction and enhanced corrosion protection.

A2 Tool Steel is not stainless, so we recommend applying a light treatment of wax or mineral oil to Iron Will blades after use.

Sharp Edges that

Stay Sharp

Iron Will knives are engineered to be extremely sharp and stay that way. A2 Tool Steel, which is commonly used by manufacturers to stamp metal, is treated with our proprietary cryogenic steel hardening process to produce edges with 60 HRC hardness. The result is a reliable blade you can count on to completely field dress your elk.

Tapered

Saber Grind

To reduce the amount of force required to make cuts, a secondary Saber Grind was added near the edge of the main blade. The tapered steel thickness near the edge minimizes the effort needed to move through meat and tissue so field dressing is less taxing. The result is smoother cuts and more energy left over for the pack out.

External carry

PACK ATTACH SHEATH

The new gold standard for externally carrying your knife, the versatile and lightweight Pack Attach Sheath precisely mounts Iron Will knives to your belt, backpack, or MOLLE webbing.

“It's so light, yet makes quick work of elk. Whether guiding or on my own hunts, the K1 is always with me. When in the backcountry, you have to have a blade you can count on.”

My favourite hunting accessory

This is the best knife I’ve ever owned. Sturdy, agile and so frighteningly sharp it’s almost intimidating. The first time I field dressed a deer with it, my brother could tell how sharp it was just watching and it led to one of the cleanest gutting jobs ever. Not only is this the best knife ever, it is hands down my favourite hunting accessory. I hope to notch more tags soon just so I can have the pleasure and joy of using it again.

Awesome Knives

I bought four of these knives as gifts. Two knives were used by two separate people within a week. Both guys stated they loved the knives and were able to dress, skin, and quarter their whole deer without having to sharpen the blade. Each said the knife could have used a minor touch up during the process, but it was not absolutely necessary.

Great steel and quality craftsmanship Iron Will!

Hunting knife

I recently got the hunting knife and the boning knife. The blades are extremely sharp! My only issue is the size of the handle, it's tiny on both of them. When you get blood on the handle while gutting a deer it becomes very hard to hang onto it. Its not even big enough to completely grab onto it, the hndle disapears completely in your hand. Very thin and short. I love Iron Will products, but I think they need to rethink the handle. Very disappointed.

Thanks for the feeddback. Our knives are designed to be ultra light for those who take all weight into consideration when backpacking while hunting. We have heard our customers who love the knives would like to see us do a version with a heartier handle. We hear you, and appreciate that you love the blades and want more options.
