Meticulously engineered HIT Inserts are only effective if the tool used to install them is equally as precise. So we machine these Hit Insert Tools to the same exacting standards Iron Will is known for. The front of the tool is designed to seat inserts at the proper arrow depth for Standard, Deep Six, or Snyder Core broadheads and field points. An included brass bore brush attaches to the back of the tool and is used to score the arrow bore for improved epoxy bonding strength.

HIT (Hidden Insert Technology) is used under license as a registered trademark of Easton Technical Products.

Materials:
Insert Seating Tool — Hardened Stainless Steel
Arrow Scoring Brush — Brass

Includes:
HIT Insert Tool, Brass Arrow Scoring Brush, Carry Case

For complete installation, you will also need HIT Epoxy and HIT Inserts. Remove nocks from your arrows when installing solid core inserts.

Additional Features

Hardened Stainless Steel

Precision CNC machined from hardened steel, this tool can be cleaned and reused hundreds of times while maintaining exact HIT Insert seating depth.

Brass Brush

Inserts need to hold firm to the inside of the arrow on hard impacts. We include a brass arrow scoring brush in our HIT Installation Kit so you can create additional surface area inside your arrow for epoxy to adhere to.

Standard Thread Compatible

Most arrows require HIT Inserts for Standard (8-32) Threads.

Deep Six Compatible

Deep Six compatible HIT Inserts are designed to fit 4mm micro diameter shafts that use the Deep Six thread pattern. Purchase the Deep Six variant if you plan to use them with Deep Six broadheads and field points in micro 4mm shafts.

Snyder Core Compatible

Designed in conjunction with Aron Snyder, the Snyder Core compatible HIT Insert tool seats Deep Six HIT Inserts further in micro diameter arrow shafts than the Standard or Deep Six compatible tools. Choose the Snyder Core option only if you are building arrows to conform with the Snyder Core System.

Disappointed

I don’t usually write reviews. I expect things to work as intended. With that said, I am a quality engineer with a manufacturer. I’ve spent over a decade as a process engineer as well. I am not a fan of outserts. IMO the victory RIP TKO outserts are junk, so I went with Iron Will HIT(s) on my second batch. I installed 5 and only 2 were successful. That means MONEY frickn wasted. My OCD is on another level so followed instructions to a “T”. When the tool arrived it wouldn’t thread, figured it was a returned product that was cross threaded, but since I was able to get it partially threaded not a deal breaker. I processed 5 custom cut arrows with the Iron Will HIT inserts and 3 of the 5 worked themselves out. I did everything to the letter. That’s $60 in shit arrows along with $13 in inserts. Not happy. I even went the extra mile and made sure shafts were perfectly level during set up and some how (vacuum) they backed out. Not happy as you can tell. I have 2 good arrows and now need to spend more money to complete my quiver. I would recommend setting up 1 arrow at a time if you use their tool. Tape it down until it sets. Even if you spin it out at a methodically slow and precise speed they have the chance of backing out. Buyer be warned.

Thank you for the review. We do not see the epoxy or install issue as being an Iron Will componants quality issue. We have sent you a new brush for the tool free of charge. We hope you will find this a satisfactory resolution to your concerns here. The tool is tight when you first use it, so we recommend using steady pressure while you turn the tool into the bore for the first time or two. It should get easier to use after that.

Well built

Everything from Iron will is built with quality materials and the inserts is no exception. Not plastic or built to be easily broken. The only issue I had with it is the length of the brush. I have a heavier insert making the insert longer. The brush was not long enough to reach the full depth of the insert. I used my gun cleaning rod to reach the depth needed but individuals without a gun cleaning rod would not be able to reach depth needed. One other suggestion, they could add a cloth attachment to clean the carbon out after brushing.

Thanks for your feedback! Our lead engineer took a look at this and stated: 'Over 2' of the arrow bore to HIT interface will be scored when using our HIT tool brush. We have found this to be more than necessary to create a very strong bond.' Thanks again for letting us address your concern. It helps keep us on our toes to make sure we are indeed providing product that is as as reliable as science allows.
