To gain a better scientific understanding of arrow flight with fixed blade broadheads, we sponsored a university study including extensive computational fluid dynamic modeling as well as empirical testing. Six of the top vanes in the industry were studied along with new designs. The new Iron Will Hybrid Hunter vane performed the best overall when we weighed accuracy, stability, drag, spin-up, wind drift, and sound. We've decided to offer these to our customers in full length shafts as well as precision machine built arrows to provide the most accurate and forgiving arrow setup for our broadheads.

We start with a 5mm Easton Axis shaft which is made in the USA with their pultrusion process for inherently consistent mechanical properties. We then machine fletch three Iron Will Hybrid Hunter vanes for an accurate and consistent 3° right helical orientation.

To provide the most accurate and consistent arrow build possible, we developed a machine to precisely cut and square both ends of the arrow and install our HIT inserts. This never-before-seen precision assures consistent force through the nock at the arrow launch and very accurate alignment from nock to shaft to point for the most accurate flight.

We add AAE IP Nocks standard to our custom built arrows for exceptional strength, consistency, and great string reaction.

Arrow Components

Precision Machine Built

To provide the most accurate and consistent arrow build possible, we developed a machine to precisely cut and square both ends of the arrow and install our HIT inserts. This never-before-seen precision assures consistent force through the nock at the arrow launch and very accurate alignment from nock to shaft to point for the most accurate flight.

Nocks

For the most precise arrows, we add AAE IP Nocks standard to our custom cut arrows for exceptional consistency and great string reaction. These nocks connect the arrow shaft closer to the string than traditional nocks, which results in a more precise and repeatable arrow send-off.

Arrow Length

To find your minimum arrow length, mark your arrow in front of your rest at full draw and then add 0.7 inch for 10 grain and 1.0 inch for 25 grain Impact Collars to make sure the Impact Collar doesn't contact your rest.

Our machine cut arrow lengths are measured from carbon to carbon, and don't include the point length or nock length.

HIT Inserts

Our machine is engineered to build arrows with Iron Will HIT Inserts, so your broadheads align with your arrow's inner diameter for the most accurate flight.

Impact Collars

Designed to be built with Iron Will Impact Collars for a stronger arrow connection and extra front-of-center (FOC) weight options.

Flight Optimized Field Points

Iron Will Field Points are design-optimized using fluid dynamic modeling to match broadhead flight characteristics more closely than ordinary field points.

Fletched

For ideal arrow and broadhead flight, we precision machine fletch every arrow with three 3° right helical Iron Will Hybrid Hunter vanes.

These vanes were developed through extensive computational fluid dynamic modeling as well as emperical testing to provide the best arrow flight with broadheads.

Travel Case

Lightweight and compact — to ensure your arrows make it from home to the field. Whether you're heading in deep on horseback, navigating airport handling, or simply placing them in the back of the pickup, your hunt is too important to risk breaking arrows on the way there. Designed to hold 12 arrows so you can hunt hard and with confidence knowing you've got backups at-the-ready if the unexpected happens.

This travel case is automatically included with custom cut 12 packs.

Easton Axis Arrows

Made with high-strength carbon-composite fibers and a Match Grade straightness of ± 0.001," Easton Axis arrows are made in the USA with their pultrusion process for inherently consistent mechanical properties.

“When it comes to reliable arrow flight, Iron Will broadhead and component tolerances go a long way towards ensuring the most accurate flight and deepest penetration possible. Through our new machine built arrow process, we can mitigate arrow build inconsistencies like never before. Couple this with a vane configuration scientifically proven to provide great accuracy and stability and the result is the most repeatable and reliable arrow build for bowhunters.”

Iron Will for LIFE!!

This season will only be my 3rd archery season, so I am by no means an expert. HOWEVER, throughout the last few years in shooting practice and dialing in my setup, I have consistently struggled to fine tune things and get tight groups at more than 20 yards.

At first it was definitely me being a novice archer, but I eventually learned to have a consistent grip and release and all of that. But still struggled to get tight groups, so I decided to switch up my arrow setup. I was shooting a 6.5mm Easton arrow with factory vanes, 125 gr head, 490 gr total, about 15% FOC.

I spent some time researching and decided I wanted to for sure move to the Easton Axis 5mm shaft, and discovered Iron Will sells them with their vanes. I have always heard incredible things about their single bevel broadheads, so I eventually decided to order them and the machined arrows. I reached out the customer service to verify the arrow setup I was thinking of. Basically the same as before, just now all Iron Will products.

And WOW!!! The results have been amazing! I of course had to redial my sight and rest and all that, but now I have far better results at longer yardage. These arrows are so consistent and a joy to shoot. I have tons of confidence now in my ability to shoot 40-50 yards in 3-4 in groups (which is good for me). And I'm getting better at the 60+ ranges as well.

The part I love the most is, if I don't have to guess if a poor shot was "just the arrow" or not like before. I know it was something I did and can analyze that and hone the skill further.

Archery is all about consistency, being able to consistently draw, hold, grip, release the same every time. And I feel like I can finally develop as a shooter now that I have VERY consistent arrows.

Are Iron Will machined arrows a must? Probably not, but I may very well be an Iron Will lifer. I love these things!

Thank you for the kind review! I am glad you reached out! Our customer service person is a competitve archer with a ton of experience working in archery shops and within the industry. She is always happy to go over set ups and discuss options. Quality customer service coupled with broadheads, componants, and now custom arrows, made from premium materials and tested to be as reliable as science allows, makes us more than a broadhead company. It is great to see how you have benefited from our support and products. Thank you for choosing Iron Will Outfitters. Appreciate your business.

Received my arrows today took them out to shoot right away and was extremely impressed! I am a new shooter and went off the recommendation from the folks at Iron Will and let's say they were spot on. These arrows took just a few shots to get them locked in shooting 1 inch groups at both 20 and 30 yards as I get better at those I plan to stretch out further but am extremely impressed already. Not to mention the arrows also penetrated 8 inches deeper into my target than the arrows the bow shop hooked me up with when I bought the bow. And that's just the field points. I also got the single bevel broadheads to group fairly well on these arrows too. I'm shooting 60# w/ 28" draw. And these 27.75" 5MM 340g spine with the 25g HITT insert, 25g impact collar, 100g field pt or broadheads is an absolute champ! I highly recommend these! Can't wait to test them out on deer next season!

Jaw dropping results. After I recieved there complete arrow build. I shot 1 arrow and was mind blown. Bill has really done his homework with vanes and is literally offering best possible arrow setup i have ever shot. From 3 yard to 150 yards they fly like lazers. Money well spent.

First archery hunt.

First archery hunt was a success. Used custom iron will arrows and broadheads. 340’s. Approx 450 gr total. 100gr iron will broad head S Series.. Slight uphill 55 yards, 60# pull. Arrow did the damage. Bull ran 300 yards and laid down. Arrow had two exit wounds and vital organ damage.

Thanks Iron Will

Custom Arrow Build

I went full Iron Will set-up this year with the Axis Match Grade arrows, hit inserts, impact collars, and 100 grain S-series broadhead. Field tips fly identically to the broadheads which has not been my experience with other broadheads. The first shot with a broadhead into a relatively new Block target was a pass through. The set-up definitely packs more momentum than the numerous other set-ups I've run over the last couple decades. Worth the investment.
