Kansas Public Land Whitetail Hunting

Kansas Public Land Whitetail Hunting
"We Got to Kansas on Monday night, Nov. 4th and it was too late to scout. We were hunting strictly public this year in a completely new area of Kansas that we have never been to before. We got up at daylight on the 5th and started speed scouting by truck. That morning we spotted two good bucks throwing down and they were on a public piece, so we made a plan to dive in that afternoon. I ended up having to settle on a tree right in the cow corral… two sticks up in my 1.0. The main goal was to set up from a good vantage point and get a feel for what the deer were doing. That being said at about 5:30 I heard another buck brawl from the distance and kept scanning with my binos until a good one showed his face about 300yds out. I hit him with a few grunts to get him coming my way, then one final snort wheeze to bring him right to my tree. I sent a single bevel 125g broadhead right through the boiler room and the rest is history!!!"
